History
1982/83
Protem committees were formed with 13 members, leaded by Bro. Peter Chung Kean Beng.

1983/84
Nanyang Technological Institute Buddhist Society (NTIBS) was officially gazette by Registry Of Society (ROS).
1985/86
BS room was officially opened by Mr. Yeo Choo Kok, the Director of Department of Student Affairs (DSA which is presently SAO) at that time with the blessing led by Venerable Seck Kwang Phing.
A Bodhi Tree sapling donated by Mangala Vihara was planted outside Nanyang House by Mr. Yeo Choo Kok on the same day. The Bodhi tree sapling was from its parent tree which is a branch from the very tree Lord Shakyamuni Buddha sat under upon Enlightenment.
NTIBS was voted the Best Society in a survey conducted by the DSA.

1991/92
NTIBS was renamed “Nanyang Technological University Buddhist Society” in EOGM on 30th Dec 1991 followed the change of NTI to NTU.
1993/94
1st Friends of NTUBS (FNTUBS) committee was formed and leaded by Bro. Chew Keng Chiak. FNTUBS is now known as NTUBS Alumni.
2000/01
NIEBS merged into NTUBS after NIE shift to Boon Lay campus.
2003
Little Bodhi Student Care Centre initiated by NTUBSA was officially opened by Mr. Chan Soo Ren (Minister of State, MCYS) and Venerable Master Shi Long Ren (President, SBF) on 22nd March 2003.
2007/08
NTUBS celebrated its 25th Silver Anniversary.
