· To share in faith, allowing the Holy Spirit to work through us.

The Catholic Students' Apostolate is a Roman Catholic society founded on the campus grounds of Nanyang Technological Institute, now know as Nanyang Technological University (NTU). This society combines both faithful communities of NTU and NIE (National Institute of Education), and is currently being served by the 19th Executive Committee.
One of the most common misconceptions of our society (or generally, in any religious society) is that we focus mainly on spirituality, and that it's usually quite boring to attend masses and/or any other related activity. This, in fact, is only half true. Who says you can't enjoy yourself while putting your focus on God in your life?
The main purpose of the Catholic Students' Apostolate is to gather like-minded students who are curious to know what God has in store for them, and also to gather those who are lost in their calling or need a boost in their spirituality.
Despite being a religious society, we do organize several social activies, mainly fellowship events, in order to build better relationships among members in and outside of school. Better yet, we believe that anyone who has an interest in God and in our faith is invited to join us to find out more!
Our society is made up of eight different Ministries, and it would not be able to function as one without the others. These Ministries are:
- » Mass
- » Spiritual
- » All Come To Share (ACTS)
- » Charismatic Prayer Group (CPG)
- » Music
- » Special Projects
- » Publicity
- » Publications

Mass Ministry is a ministry that provides weekly Eucharistic Celebrations for Catholic NTU students and staff. Weekly masses continuously renew their spiritual strength. Mass Ministry also aim to unite Catholic NTU students and staff in God's presence, and to remind them to be living examples of God as well as to serve one another in love.
Vision: To let the Word of God come alive and complete our hearts.
Mission: To treat mass as our wedding banquet.
Spiritual Ministry is one of the fundamental ministries in NTU CSA. The vision of the ministry of the year is to grow in a deeper spiritual relationship to God. And its mission is to maintain the ‘Spirituality’ of ALL CSA members to be in a closer relationship to God.
In its effort to achieve its vision and mission, the spiritual ministry:
Organized the RCIA programme on campus and liaised with Parish outside campus for the participants of the RCIA programme to receive the sacrament of Baptism / First Communion.
Organized CSA’s annual retreat.
Assured that there would be a 20-30 minute spiritual input session (a reflection, sharing, etc) for the executive committee members in their weekly meetings.
Maintain spiritual input (bible reflection / inspirational video) before Wednesday mass.
The mission of ACTS Ministry is to create a path connecting the desire to keep our catholic faith as an integral part of our lives, to relax and to have a good time during the study in NTU. ACTS is a ministry created so that we can come together every week to share our faith, our ideas, and our lives as Catholics at NTU in small groups so we can strengthen our bonds and find a group of fellow students closest to our hearts.
It caters for students living on campus as well as off campus, for Catholics as well as non Catholics who are interested in experiencing God’s love through friends around them. ACTS groups normally gather once a week and the sharing sessions are facilitated by trained ACTS Leaders. The objective of the sharing is to increase the faith of the Catholics in campus and/or the knowledge of Catholicism of the non-Catholics who come for ACTS sessions.
Since the beginning of Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) in a weekend retreat of a group of students at Duquesne University in the US in the late 1960s, millions of individuals have discovered the new dimension of their relationship with God the Father and the Son, Jesus Christ, through the work of the Holy Spirit. Until today, the CCR still continues carrying out their mission in renewing the life of the Church by the working of the Holy Spirit.
In year 2000, another group of students in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) were gathered regularly in their meetings in praise, prayer, sharing, scriptures and teaching. These gathering were the nuclei of the NTU Catholic Students’ Apostolate (CSA) Charismatic Prayer Group (CPG). The wind of renewal of the Spirit within NTU CSA has been continuously blowing ever since. In May 2003, by the grace of God, the first Life-in-the-Spirit-Camp (LISC) in CSA was held with “Living life to the fullest” as the theme. The following years, once again the Lord led the LISC 2004 “Giving You my life” and LISC 2005 “Yes, Lord!”. The latest was LISC 2010 “Walk by Faith”.

Music ministry (MusMin) is one of NTU CSA ministries which actively involves every week in Wednesday Mass and other special masses such as Exam and Commissioning mass. MusMin’s choir also takes part in the Christmas Party, Caroling and Musical organized by CSA every year.
Our vision is to be a community which comes together to increase the faith to Jesus Christ, maintain it and to spread the word of God.
Our mission is to increase the awareness of Christ through music.
The Special Projects Ministry is traditionally responsible for the fellowship of the people in NTU-NIE CSA. However, apart from growing the love between members of the CSA community, we would also like to spread God’s Love to all, through various service projects which are currently being established.
This ministry plans and executes the NTU-NIE CSA’s annual Christmas party as well as two Bonding Days (one in each Semester). Other responsibilities include providing refreshments during special masses such as Exam masses, Investiture masses and Welcome Tea masses.
Vision: A community that continually seeks to grow in the Love of God and manifests His Love to all.
“May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else” – 1 Thessalonians 3:12
Mission: To love one another within and beyond the CSA community, through regular service projects and ad-hoc events.
“No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love spreads freely among us (is perfected in us).” – 1 John 4:12
We do the bulletin which is given out at the beginning of mass! It includes the announcements of the week, readings of the week, and spiritual input from religious, or general sharings of God’s great Love from fellow members of CSA.
We also publicise events for CSA. This includes posters, banners, flyers and related visual articles.
Vision: To perpetuate Christ’s love around Campus.
Mission: We are the advertisement of God's love, so through our actions, we are able to be messengers of Christ
Publications ministry aims to increase the awareness of public, in general, and the community, specifically, of the events conducted by Catholic Students' Apostolate.
With the help of Publicity Ministry, we are constantly informing our fellow community members of the events, by means of print (Miracle) and electronic media (e-Miracle, Facebook).
Vision: to announce the workings of God in the campus through the use of public media.
Mission:
1. Working with other ministries to publicize events in hopes that the "moral of the story" reaches out to other people.
2. To think of our knowledge and talents in publications as a gift from God, and utilize it to our best to give back to Him and our community.
The Friday Lunchtime Ministry (FLM) is a ministry founded in 2009 from the Friday Lunchtime Mass @ NIE. It comprises of students from both NTU and NIE.
