The Catholic Students' Apostolate is a Roman Catholic society founded on the campus grounds of Nanyang Technological Institute, now know as Nanyang Technological University (NTU). This society combines both faithful communities of NTU and NIE (National Institute of Education), and is currently being served by the 19th Executive Committee.
One of the most common misconceptions of our society (or generally, in any religious society) is that we focus mainly on spirituality, and that it's usually quite boring to attend masses and/or any other related activity. This, in fact, is only half true. Who says you can't enjoy yourself while putting your focus on God in your life?
The main purpose of the Catholic Students' Apostolate is to gather like-minded students who are curious to know what God has in store for them, and also to gather those who are lost in their calling or need a boost in their spirituality.
Despite being a religious society, we do organize several social activies, mainly fellowship events, in order to build better relationships among members in and outside of school. Better yet, we believe that anyone who has an interest in God and in our faith is invited to join us to find out more!
Our society is made up of eight different Ministries, and it would not be able to function as one without the others. These Ministries are:
- » Mass
- » Spiritual
- » All Come To Share (ACTS)
- » Charismatic Prayer Group (CPG)
- » Music
- » Special Projects
- » Publicity
- » Publications

Mass Ministry is a ministry that provides weekly Eucharistic Celebrations for Catholic NTU students and staff. Weekly masses continuously renew their spiritual strength. Mass Ministry also aim to unite Catholic NTU students and staff in God's presence, and to remind them to be living examples of God as well as to serve one another in love.
The vision of the ministry is to let the Word of God come alive and complete our hearts, and its mission is to treat mass as our wedding banquet.

Spiritual Ministry is one of the fundamental ministries in NTU CSA. The vision of the ministry of the year is to grow in a deeper spiritual relationship with God, with its mission being to maintain the spirituality of all CSA members to be in a closer relationship with God.
In its effort to achieve its vision and mission, the spiritual ministry:
- · Organizes the RCIA programme on campus and liaises with parish outside campus for the enquirers to receive the sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist.
- · Organizes the annual retreat for CSA members.
- · Assures that there will be a 20-30 minutes of spiritual input session (reflection, sharing, etc.) for the executive committees in their weekly meeting.
- · Maintains spiritual input in the form of bible reflection or inspirational video before Wednesday masses.
We believe that through such spiritual activities, we can keep our relationship healthy with God. We also believe that God has His own way to lead CSA to a better future through these activities.

ACTS is a ministry created so that we can come together every week to share our faith, our ideas, and our lives as Catholics at NTU in small groups so we can strengthen our bonds and find a group of fellow students closest to our hearts.
It caters for students living on campus as well as off campus, for Catholics as well as non Catholics who are interested in experiencing God’s love through friends around them. ACTS groups normally gather once a week and the sharing sessions are facilitated by trained ACTS Leaders.
The objective of the sharing is to increase the faith of the Catholics in campus and/or the knowledge of Catholicism of the non-Catholics who come for ACTS sessions.
The mission of ACTS Ministry is to create a path connecting the desire to keep our catholic faith as an integral part of our lives, to relax and to have a good time during the study in NTU.

The Special Projects Ministry is traditionally responsible for the fellowship of the people in NTU-NIE CSA. However, apart from growing the love between members of the CSA community, we would also like to spread God's love to all, through various service projects which are currently being established.
This ministry plans and executes the NTU CSA's annual Christmas party as well as two Bonding Days (one in each Semester). Other responsibilities include providing refreshments during special masses such as Exam masses, Investiture masses and Welcome Tea masses.
Our vision is to be a community that continually seeks to grow in the love of God and manifests His love to all.
" May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else." – 1 Thessalonians 3:12
Our mission is to love one another within and beyond the CSA community, through regular service projects and ad-hoc events.
" No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love spreads freely among us (is perfected in us)." – 1 John 4:12

Publicity Ministry does the bulletin which is given out at the beginning of mass. It includes the announcements of the week, readings of the week, and spiritual input from religious, or general sharings of God's great love from fellow members of CSA.
The ministry also publicizes events for CSA. This includes posters, banners, flyers and related visual articles.
We are currently ooking for people who are able to design stuff, or are generally keen on spreading God's message & publicizing CSA to the rest of campus. If you wish to contribute to the weekly ending note of the bulletin, please do let us know as well!
Our vision is to perpetuate Christ's love around campus, with the mission of us being the advertisement of God's love, so through our actions, we are able to be messengers of Christ.
For more information, please kindly contact Aerin at csa-publicity@ntu.edu.sg.
The publications ministry basically maintains everything that relates to reaching out to public in order. For instance, this very website is being looked after and kept updated by the ministry. Other than that, the ministry is also responsible for production of the semesterly bulletin of CSA, Canticle, and its electronic form, e-Canticle, whose pervious editions can be found on the home page.
In order to help accomplish our service, there are five groups of people who are willing to present their talent and proficiency to ensure the smooth-sailing of the ministry. These groups of people are webmasters, documentalists, journalists, editors, and designers. We believe that by making use of our capabilities to our best, we may forward God's love to the community and, at the same time, reply to His call to serve.
Our vision is to announce the workings of God in the campuse through the use of media.
Our mission:
- · Working with other ministries in hopes that the "moral of the story" reaches out to other people.
- · To think of our knowledge of publications as a gift from God, and utilize it to our best to give back to Him and our community.
