HSS Week 2011
HSS is proud to present our annual grand event of HSS Week, from the 9th- 11th of March 2011 with activities taking place at LKCT Terrace, South Spine Concourse and HSS Auditorium.
Highlights included the Opening Ceremony, performances, bazaar, goodie bag giveaways, lucky draw and also not to forget, the most importantly event-- our HSS Night!

Firstly, HSS Week began with an Opening Ceremony, at 2pm on 9th March.

Our Guest-of-Honour, Associate Professor Rosalind Chew was giving her speech.

Division of Chinese: Asst. Prof Phua Chiew Pheng

- Most hardworking n caring teacher, super responsive in answering students'
queries, and also didn't fail to show up for lecture and 7 tutorial classes when
he's very unwell.
-- Neo Pok Yen
- In short, Prof. Phua is one that is truly concerned about our learning and is
passionate in imparting his knowledge to us.
-- Leon Lim
Division of Sociology: Asst. Prof James Patrick William

- He stirs up my interest and is a very entertaining and engaging lecturer.
Approachable, Inspiring, understanding, friendly and caring. HE ROCKS!
-- Tay Zhu Han Nicole
- epitome of coolness. HAHA. no airs, treats every student with sincerity,
listens to everything that we say and is very encouraging. PLUS POINT: very
hilarious and his daughter is SO CUTE. --
Tan Mei Feng
Division of Economics: Asst. Prof Kannika Damrongplasit

- She tries really hard on her lecture to make sure all of us understands what
she is teaching. Also, she has great patience in answer all our queries.
-- Ng Hong Ming Jaime
- She puts a lot of effort in her presentation to ensure students optimize their
learning experience. She doesn't mind repeating and her explanations are always
easy to understand.
-- Koo Shiyun
Division of English: Asst. Prof Andrew Corey Yerkers

- He is very approachable with matters pertaining to his courses. He gets along
well with students on a personal level, interacting with them outside of classes
just for the fun of it.
-- Muhammad Hidhir
- Extremely passionate and dedicated towards his craft and his enthusiasm spills
over to us students when we attend his lectures. He is also very approachable
and friendly.
-- Melissa Tham
Division of Psychology: Asst. Prof Michael Donald Patterson

- A very knowledgeable and loves to challenge theories in the textbook who
presents the lectures to us in a funny and interestingly full of cognitive
examples and jokes.
-- Tan Xin Yi
- Dr Patterson is very passionate about what he teaches and he always brings in
the latest and most exciting research to share with us. His lessons are a joy to
attend!
-- Pooh Chuan Ling, Karen
Division of Linguistic and Multilingual Studies: Asst. Prof Tan Ying Ying

ISRG 2011 AAfter ISG, here comes the ISRG (Inter-school Recreation Games) of the year! ISRG falls on February this year, from 10th Feb to 24th Feb. Games included Blokus, Chinese Chess, Scrabble, International Chess and Othello were held in NTU. Photos are as below. Enjoy! :) /p>

ISG 2011 The annual Inter-school Games (ISG) was held in January 2011. Different sports games were held within three weeks, including basketball, tennis, soccer, swimming, volleyball, table tennis, floor ball, captain's ball, badminton, frisbee, netball etc. Here are some of the photos of the event! :)

HSS Exam Welfare Package 2010
Exam Welfare package 2010 was here again to bring joy to the students! Goodie Bags & food give away- 23rd & 24th November @ HSS Building Level 1 Foyer.
