Program Agenda
The Boot Camp will begin with a tour of the labs of the School of Computer Engineering, followed by a tour of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Labs. Participants in the boot camp are advised to arrive at the Lecture Theatre by 8:45am to avoid missing the lab tours.
Following the tours, which are expected to end by 10 am, snacks will be served. The presentation for the Science Symposium will begin at 1030 and continue till 1230. The presentation will include:
1) A briefing by committee members as to what actually happens in the event, and what is expected of the participants. Any questions regarding the submission of the research papers will be answered during the briefing.
2) A presentation by an NTU student currently undertaking a research project.
3) A presentation by a guest speaker.
In order to help participants find the venue easily, we will have people stationed at the Canteen A bustop to guide them till the Lecture Theatre.
Details
Students will be invited to attend a boot camp which will provide them with a unique opportunity to interact with professors, academicians and people from the corporate world involved with science and technology. At the boot camp, participants will be made aware of the different facilities that can be used by them to help them in researching the topic of their choice.
It will be a half day event, where students from various Schools, Junior Colleges and Polytechnics will be invited. Research heads from various institutions will be invited to be introduced to the IEEE NTU Science Symposium in detail. The participants will be given a goodie bag containing an brochure with the event details as well as several other attractive goodies from our sponsors. Representatives of our sponsors and officials from MOE will also be invited to see the proceedings.
Following the boot camp, we will start the registration process for the main event. Participants of the boot camp will be encouraged to register either individually or in teams not exceeding 4.
