In an unconventional way to mark the weekend, a networking session between NTU Masters Alumni and current students was co-organised by CAO (Career & Attachment Office) and GSC-CnE (Career & Entrepreneurship Committee). The two-hour event saw NTU Alumni acting as mentors by sharing their experiences in the market and shedding light on the current job scenario for local and international students pursuing Master’s degrees in NTU. The mentors invited hailed from diverse backgrounds ranging from engineering (Shruti Shekhar, Venture Corp Ltd. and Achiranshu Garg, GlobalFoundries Singapore), to management (Aayush Singhania, McKinsey & Company), commerce (Mahi Singh, Zalora) and international political studies (Melisa Tan, LKY School of Public Policy, NUS). A group of around fifty students participated in the talks, exchanged their views and queries about their future possibilities and scope of job opportunities in Singapore and gathered perspective from mentors belonging to respective fields of expertise.
Overall, the event was an interactive session among enthusiastic young minds, exploring their way in bridging the gap between campus and industry.
