Fine prints

Nobody likes reading through fine print – I don’t fancy them as much as you do, but this is important. Please read through this entire document and make sure that you understand it – it’s going to take you some time to go through it, so let’s get some coffee and get started.

Procedure for the loaning of club equipments

  1. Fill in the Section 1 of the 2010-Rev 02-Loan form, (a sample is available and attached to this SOP) duly signed by technical chairman or logistic manager AND user.
  2. Fill in the outgoing loan book accordingly. The book will be kept by the logistic manager only. Contact the logistic manager for any enquiries.
  3. Upon return of equipment(s), fill in the Section 2 of the 2010-Rev 02-Loan form duly signed by the tech chair or logistic manager.
  4. Fill the outgoing loan book accordingly. The book will be kept by the logistic manager only. Contact the logistic manager for any enquiries.
  5. A S$50.00 deposit per item will have to be placed upon borrowing, this means that if the person borrowed a set of lens and camera body, the whole set will be counted as 2 items. $10 will also be charged per equipment for maintenance fee.
  6. A receipt will have to be issued to the user if deposit had been paid to the club and the receipt issued will have to be returned by the user and attached to the loan form.
  7. User must prepare the following:
    1. Photocopy of NRIC/Student’s Pass.
    2. Loan form duly filled in
  8. Every user is only allowed to borrow a maximum of 4 items from the inventory list, unless or otherwise required for use in school event and a letter requesting the need has been issued by the organizer of the event.
  9. The user has the responsibility to contact the logistic manager AT LEAST 2 (TWO) DAYS prior to due date of equipment in order to extend it. Failure to do so will result in fine being imposed on the equipment.
  10. All equipments are to be booked on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday is designated for collection. Failure to collect on the day will result in the forfeiture of the booking and a re-booking has to be done to borrow the equipment.

Personnel and warning

  1. Only technical chairman and logistic manager are allowed to handle and loan out equipments.
  2. For technical chair/logistic manager, please ensure that all equipment(s) loaned out are in good condition before releasing them to the user and signing the 2010-Rev 02-Loan form.
  3. User must also ensure that all the equipment(s) he/she borrowed is in good condition before signing the 2010-Rev 02-Loan form.
  4. User of the equipment will be responsible for the care of the equipment when the loaned equipment(s) is/are in his/her hand.
  5. The user of the equipment(s) will be held responsible for any damage or fault in the equipment(s) for any reason whatsoever and will have to bear the full cost of repair and/or to get the equipments brand new.
  6. All equipments can only be borrowed for a maximum of 7 (seven) days from the date of borrowing. A fine of $10.00 PER EQUIPMENT PER DAY will be imposed on each late returned equipment.
  7. A receipt will have to be issued to the user if any fine had been imposed on them, and the copy of the receipt is to be attached to the loan form.
